John Alexander Yuhas, MD Specialties: John Alexander Yuhas, M.D. revolutionized cataract surgery in the four-state area by opening the first free-standing outpatient surgery center in southern Missouri in November 1989. He joined the Regional Eye Center's founding Ophthalmologist, Mark A Judge, M.D. in July 1988. During his 16-year tenure, the Regional Eye Center has grown to four ophthalmologists and two optometrists with offices in Joplin, Neosho and Pittsburg, KS. Dr.Yuhas performs a vast array of medical and surgical treatments for cataracts, glaucoma, and retinal conditions. Dr. Yuhas received a Bachelor of Arts and Doctorate in Medicine degrees with distinction from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. He completed his medical internship and ophthalmology residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City affiliated hospitals. Dr. Yuhas provides eyecare in our Joplin and Pittsburg offices.
